The Perfect Peel at Finesse Skin Clinic

The Perfect Peel

A medical grade medium depth peel for real, visible results

The Perfect Peel is a powerful blended chemical peel designed to go deeper than a superficial peel and deliver genuinely transformative results. At Finesse Skin Clinic it is performed by Sarah Newey, a pharmacist and independent prescriber with over thirty years of clinical experience, ensuring every treatment is assessed, planned and delivered with the care and expertise your skin deserves.

What skin concerns does The Perfect Peel treat?

Pigmentation and sun damage
Dark spots, age spots, uneven skin tone and photo-aged skin. The Perfect Peel targets melanin deposits at a deeper level than a superficial peel, helping to reveal a clearer, more even complexion. Please note that The Perfect Peel is not suitable for active melasma. If you are unsure which type of pigmentation you have, a consultation will help us determine the right approach.

Skin rejuvenation
For skin that has lost its firmness, clarity and overall vitality due to the natural ageing process, environmental damage or hormonal changes. The Perfect Peel stimulates collagen production and accelerates cell renewal, helping to restore a more youthful, refreshed appearance.

Acne and acne prone skin
For active breakouts, congestion and the scarring and pigmentation left behind after breakouts. The Perfect Peel works to exfoliate, clear and resurface the skin while reducing inflammation and supporting the healing process.

What makes The Perfect Peel different?

The Perfect Peel is a blended medium depth chemical peel combining six powerful active ingredients that work together to create results that a superficial peel cannot achieve.

You may notice a slight sulphur scent during treatment. This is completely normal and simply indicates that the glutathione is active. It fades quickly.

Frequently asked questions

The Perfect Peel is a medical grade medium depth blended chemical peel combining TCA, retinoic acid, salicylic acid, phenol, kojic acid and glutathione. It is designed to deliver more significant results than a superficial peel, targeting pigmentation, sun damage, skin rejuvenation and acne at a deeper level.

The AlumierMD peels offered at Finesse Skin Clinic are superficial to medium depth peels with minimal downtime, designed to deliver progressive results over a course of treatments. The Perfect Peel is a more intensive medium depth treatment with five to seven days of visible peeling downtime. It is designed to deliver more significant results in a single treatment. Your consultation will help determine which approach is right for your skin.

Peeling varies between clients. Some peel in large sheets, others flake lightly and some experience microscopic peeling that is barely visible. All of these responses can indicate a successful treatment. Visible shedding is not the only measure of success.

Treatment day: Tightness, warmth and a darkened or bronzed appearance. The peel is left on for six to eight hours before washing off at home. Days 1 and 2: Increasing tightness and darkening. Use your retinol wipes on the nights of day one and day two as directed. Day 3: Peeling begins, typically around the mouth and nose. Begin using your post peel moisturiser on areas of new skin and introduce your SPF every morning. Days 4 and 5: More significant peeling, sometimes in sheets. Do not pick, pull or cut peeling skin. Days 6 and 7: Residual flaking with fresh pink skin visible underneath. Day 7 onwards: Skin refines and pigmentation gradually decreases. Full results continue to develop for four to six weeks.

Yes. Visible peeling occurs from around day three and continues for approximately five to seven days. During this period you should avoid makeup until peeling is complete, avoid exercise, steam rooms, saunas and heat treatments for at least 48 hours after treatment, and avoid sun exposure for four to six weeks either side of your treatment. Use only the products provided during the healing phase.

During the application you may feel a slight stinging or tingling sensation which settles within a few minutes. The phenol in the formula provides some anaesthetic comfort during treatment. Most clients find the treatment very manageable.

The glutathione in The Perfect Peel has a slight sulphur scent. This is completely normal and simply indicates that the antioxidant is present and active. It fades quickly after application.

Yes, at the right intervals. Botulinum toxin can be performed 48 hours before or ten to fourteen days after your peel. Microneedling should be avoided until four weeks after. LED therapy can be used three to five days after treatment.

The Perfect Peel is not suitable for those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, those who have used isotretinoin within the last six months, those with open wounds, active infection, eczema or dermatitis in the treatment area, those with a history of keloid scarring, those with severe active rosacea or psoriasis, those with active melasma, or those with heavily tanned or recently sunburned skin.
